With the portrait of Henri PORTALES
Born November 5, 1920, in Reims (Marne). Prisoner of war from 1940 to 1945 in Pomerania at Stalag IID, liberated by the Russian army and repatriated by ship after arriving in the port of Odessa (USSR in 1945 – Ukraine in 2025). He worked as a postman for the French Post Office (PTT) and remained friends with fellow prisoner Louis Rouzot. Died January 28, 1986.
Father: Pascal PORTALES, born July 21, 1881, in Almussafes, Spain - naturalized French citizen October 15, 1947 - died February 27, 1973. Mother: Henriette GIBLATZ, born July 6, 1894, in Paris (6th arrondissement) - died September 19, 1968.
Brother: Pascal PORTALES, born September 22, 1924, in Paris (10th arrondissement) - refused forced labor in Germany (STO) - member of the French Resistance in the Lorris maquis (Loiret) - killed by German soldiers on August 12, 1944, in Chicamour, Sury-aux-Bois (Loiret).
Wife: Renée Baldovi, born January 8, 1928, in Paris (14th arrondissement), resident of Vitry-aux-Loges (Loiret).
